History was made in Milwaukee as Manny Parra(2-2) tossed a no-hitter and the
Milwaukee Brewers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals by the score of 6 to
0.
Parra was just too much for St. Louis. He gave his hometown fans a game
they'll never forget! He only walked one St. Louis batter. What a day for
the fans. They were on the edge of their seats from the 7th inning on. With
every out, the electricity in the air mounted. Milwaukee had a total of 8
hits for the game.
Kyle Lohse(3-2) took the loss. He gave up 4 hits and no walks in 5 innings.
'You probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than this
happening,' said Parra, 'I don't expect it to sink in for awhile,' he said.
'I'm numb right now, I'm overwhelmed.'
