Daisuke Matsuzaka goes to 4-1 on the year with a decent outing as the Sox cruise to the win over the Rangers. Jason Varitek, Kevin Youkilis, and Jacoby Ellsbury all get 2 hits each and Manny Ramirez adds in his 5th home run of the year. Not a save situation for Papelbon, but he came in anyway to get a little action since there haven't even been very many save chances for him so far. Of the Sox's 11 win so far, three have been shutouts and only 3 have a save recorded in them all by Papelbon. A lot of the games have been won by scores like today's 6-1, 8-1, 12-3, stuff like that.

In a lop-sided win the Boston Red Sox ripped the Texas Rangers by a 6 to 1
count.
 
Boston took the lead for keeps in the 3rd inning scoring one runner. That
early run support was enough for Daisuke Matsuzaka(4-1) and Boston.  Overall
Boston out-hit Texas 11 to 7.  
 
Luis Mendoza(0-1) was given the loss.  He surrendered 4 runs and 6 hits in 4
