April 10, 2008 Red Sox 7, Tigers 0

The Tigers can only muster up three singles and a walk as Tim Wakefield dominates, going the distance for the three-hitter and the Sox's third shutout of the year and the first by one pitcher. Much better performance for Wake than his 3 inning, 8 run disaster from his first start. A good day to be named Kevin, as both Kevin Youkilis and Kevin Cash hit two doubles with 7 doubles for the Sox overall. Big Papi adds in a triple for his first extra base hit of the year, as 8 of the 12 Sox hits are for extra bases. The Sox outscore the Tigers 19-3 for the three game series.

Dem Boys from the Bronx are coming to town, as a weekend series at Fenway against the dreaded New York Yankees looms next on the schedule.
