March 31, 2008 Phillies 8, Nationals 0 (Phillies home opener)

The Nationals won't start off 0-13 this time as Odalis Perez pitched a 4-hitter against the Braves in the opener, but the Phillies turn the goose-egg on the Nats today with three pitchers combining on the shutout. Brett Myers goes a solid 7 1/3, with Clay Condrey and Chad Durbin finishing up. The Phils jumped in front early with three runs in the first inning, and cruise from there. Different ways of getting those three runs too, with back to back doubles for Jimmy Rollins and Shane Victorino scoring one, another run comes home on a Matt Chico wild pitch, and Pedro Feliz gets a sac fly. Victorino would get a homerun later in the game to cap a 3 run, 3 RBI day.
