The Phillies lost 15 out of 18 games to the Mets last year, but come out of top in their first showdown this year. Jamie Moyer is sensational, going the distance for the 4-hit shutoutand no walks, proving that his 45 year old body still has some gusto left in it. Moyer goes to 2-0 and a 1.26 ERA for the first two starts of the year with no walks in 14 innings. Both Phillie runs scored in the 1st inning, when Jimmy Rollins singles, Shane Victorino ends up at first with a forceout of Rollins at second, Chase Utley strikes out, then Ryan Howard rips a triple to score Vic and Pat Burrell singles to score Howard. Those would prove to be the only runs the Phillies would need thanks to Moyer. Oliver Perez for the Mets goes 8 and strikes out 10 in a losing cause.
