| Five-star days on offense for Shane Victorino and Jason Werth as one day after facing 23 year old Max Scherzer the Phils take on 44 year old Randy Johnson. The Big Unit does not have his best stuff today, allowing 7 of the Phillies 8 runs. Victorino for the day goes 3 for 4, scoring 3 times and falling of all things a single shy of the cycle with a double, triple and homerun. Werth falls the triple shy of a cycle with a 3 for 5 day, including 4 RBIs with a single, double and homerun. Adam Eaton, after a rough first inning, gets credit for the win and Brad Lidge gets save number 6. Lidge came into the game with a 4 run lead but two runners on base in the 9th. Arizona would score one run on a doubleplay groundout in the 9th, and the Phils win their third straight and get back to the .500 mark. |
