June 1, 2008 Marlins 9, Phillies 5

Three doubles for Phillie catcher Chris Coste are overshadowed by a pair of 2-run homeruns for the Marlins' Dan Uggla as Florida averts the sweep. Were it not for Ryan Madson, the score would have been much different. The usually reliable Madson allows all four batters to face him to reach base in the top of the 8th inning, with all four scoring. Before the inning started the Marlins led 5-2, so the three runs that the Phillies score in the bottom of the 8th would have tied the game if not for the four runs in the top of the inning.

Second baseman Dan Uggla blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Florida
Marlins defeated the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 9 to 5 at Citizen's

the 1st inning and cracked a two-run shot (his 18th of the season) in the 8th
inning. Florida had a total of 12 hits for the game.

The win was credited to Andrew Miller(5-1) who went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing
