Maybe he should have stayed at leadoff, as AL batting leader Jacoby Ellsbury, back in his costomary leadoff spot, was a not very Ellsbury-like 0 for 5 at the plate. |

Luke Scott had 2 base hits as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Boston Red
Sox 4 to 3 at Fenway Park.
Boston was unable to claim the lead after Baltimore went ahead in the top of
the 2nd inning scoring one runner using 3 hits. After an out was recorded,
Scott doubled. Ramon Hernandez was next and he stroked a single. Adam Jones
then tripled. The Boston offense proved no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.
Daniel Cabrera(5-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 1 run. Cabrera got relief help from Jim Johnson who gained credit
for his 2nd save. Josh Beckett(3-6) was tagged with the loss.
