July 29, 2008 Angels 15, Red Sox 2

Nothing at all good to say about today, as the Angels totally embarass the Sox scoring 15 runs. It didn't matter who was on the mound for Boston, the Angels just rolled scoring at least one run in every inning except for the 7th. Macier Izturis gets 5 hits, Howie Kendrick scores 4 times along with Garrett Anderson and Ryan Quinlan pulling off the second-home double steal. Quinlan broke for second and Anderson went home, on a 1 split card chance for the steal of home. Figuring hey easy out at home, the throw is relayed to the plate - and the split card comes up a 1!! That was in the 2nd inning, and it just went down the shitter from there. Every Angel had at least one hit, all but Quinlan and catcher Jeff Mathis scored at least one run, and everybody but Anderson had at least one RBI. On the plus side, Dustin Pedroia has a three hit day and Mike Lowell hit his 17th homer to tie his real-life total.

This isn't the only high-scoring game today either. Cleveland beat Detroit 11-10, Texas beat Seattle 11-10, and Pittsburgh beat Colorado 16-10. I guess the stars were aligned or something today, maybe the air thinned out, who knows. :)
