| After not meeting in 2007 for only the second year since interleague play began, the annual Sox-Phillies series gears back up again and the fans in Philadelphia ae treated to quite the game. Neither starter, Bartolo Colon or Cole Hamels, fare all that well as plenty of early scoring and balls flying out of the park gives us a 5-5 tie after 5 innings. The Phillies get a Shane Victorino RBI single in the 6th and a Pat Burrell solo homerun in the 7th for two runs and the margin of victory. After last game's disaster with Lidge, Ryan Madson goes the 8th and stays on for the 9th to record his first save of the year. |
