June 28, 2008 Rangers 5, Phillies 4

The Phillies jump out to a 4-0 lead, but former Phillie Marlon Byrd proves to be a royal pain in the ass as he gets 3 doubles on the day and scores a run. Even with the doubles, they don't really get involved in the scoring but Byrd is the hero when he gets a walk-off single to score the winning run through the drawn-in infield after Ryan Madson loads the bases in the bottom of the 9th.

The Rangers have led the AL West for about the last month and a half despite being below .500 most of the season, but only recently have put together some wins by winning 6 of their last 7. At one time, Texas led the division with the pathetic record of 18-23!
