| Once again all position starters get in on the sction with at least a hit with the exception of Jason Varitek. Dustin Pedroia was almost on that list, but in the top of the 9th with his 22 game hitting streak in jeopardy he lashes a base hit in his final atbat of the game to extend the streak to 23. Ty Wigginto smokes a 2-run homer in the 9th off of Javier Lopez after Javier had pitched a spotles 8th, so Paps comes in to retire the final two batters for his 15th save of the season. Sixth straight win for the Sox for a season high winning streak, and have won16 of their last 19. |
