| Adam Eaton, after allowing a homerun to Mark Ellis on his very first pitch of the game, gives the bullpen a brerak as he ends up going the distance thanks to his teammates bailing him out to the tune of 9 runs and a nice low pitch count of 84. Threes are wild today as Jimmy Rollins scores 3 times, Pat Burrell gets 3 hits from the number three spot in the lineup, and Chase Utley puts the game out of reach with a 3-run homerun in the 9th. An uncharacteristically wild Rich Harden does his best imitation of Nolan Ryan, walking 7 and striking out 10 in his 5 2/3 innings of work and is tagged with the loss for the A's. |
