July 3, 2008 Phillies 4, Braves 3

All the excitement is saved for the 9th inning when a pinch-hit homerun for Jayson Werth in the top of the inning gives the Phils the 4-3 lead. In the bottom of the 9th, Brad Lidge allows a double for Jeff Francoer sandwiched in between two strikeouts when Mark Kotsay rips one to right field. Francoer flies around third and tries for home for the tying run, but Geoff Jenkins comes up throwing and nails Francoer at the plate for the out to end the game.

In addition to his rifle shot home to save the victory with the throwing arm, Jenkins was 3 for 4 at the plate flexing the batting arm with a solo homerun..
